Well not really James Bond, but the loser who tried to replace Sean Connery.
While filming a documentary in Malta,
Roger Moore spouted off things like:
"First of all I never liked guns. I hate them - I always blink before they go off. Unfortunately, children are encouraged to buy guns and play soldiers and all the games are so violent today."
This type of statement continues to anger me regardless of who states it.
Before video games, we had war and violence. Before children were encouraged to play soldiers we had violence. No kid is out there that is going to be influenced by a Roger Moore movie to pick up a gun and shoot someone. The only influence that is going to motivate a child to become violent is their parents.
So Sir Roger, how about you advocate against the real problem? Irresponsible people being permitted to have children with all of the burden placed on the state. Maybe your next movie you can play a doctor who sterilizes people like
the mother of Nicolas Limpert so that the real cause of crime and violence is stopped?
