University Newspaper Raffles AK-47

Stories Found In The News
Publishers of the Clemson University school newspaper are holding a controversial raffle in which the winner will receive an AK-47 rifle, according to a Local 6 News report.

The campus newspaper is holding the AK-47 raffle to make a point about the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, according to a Local 6 News report.

So James Bond hated guns.....

Stories Found In The News
Well not really James Bond, but the loser who tried to replace Sean Connery.
While filming a documentary in Malta, Roger Moore spouted off things like:

"First of all I never liked guns. I hate them - I always blink before they go off. Unfortunately, children are encouraged to buy guns and play soldiers and all the games are so violent today."

This type of statement continues to anger me regardless of who states it.

Before video games, we had war and violence. Before children were encouraged to play soldiers we had violence. No kid is out there that is going to be influenced by a Roger Moore movie to pick up a gun and shoot someone. The only influence that is going to motivate a child to become violent is their parents.

So Sir Roger, how about you advocate against the real problem? Irresponsible people being permitted to have children with all of the burden placed on the state. Maybe your next movie you can play a doctor who sterilizes people like the mother of Nicolas Limpert so that the real cause of crime and violence is stopped?

Doug Duncan Wants To Be MD Governor but....

Stories Found In The News
He doesn't think that any of us Montgomery County residents deserve to own guns. If he becomes governor, I'm convinced he'll work to ban guns in all of Maryland.

The Countertop Chronicles turned me onto a story about an armed home invasion robbery in Chevy Chase which is about as safe as it could get. Wonder what would have happened had the family who was held captive could have shot and killed these animals?

Remember this story if your a MD resident and you are going into your local voting place. Vote NO against this asshat, and YES for any candidate who respects ALL of the Constitution.

Anti-gunners on ATF hearings

Anti-gunners on ATF hearings Posted in Guns by SayUncle on March 29th, 2006

Michael Silence emails a presser from Coalition to Stop Gun Ownership err Violence on the recent ATF hearings:

These hearings were supposed to get to the bottom of claims that BATFE agents and local police violated the civil rights of law-abiding gun purchasers, particularly at a series of gun shows in Richmond, Virginia, over the past two years. They have failed to do so, although they appear to have unintentionally shed light of a wide variety of serious crimes uncovered by BATFE in the course of their investigative work at these events.

When Richmond-area law enforcement agencies learned that local gun shows were an important source of guns sold to gang members and other criminals - including the guns used to commit four homicides in the city since May 2004 - they developed a plan to try to stop these sales. After earlier investigations revealed that people who buy firearms illegally at gun shows often provide false residence information on background check forms, BATFE decided to verify address information on suspicious purchases.

Illinois is trying to pass an Assault Weapon ban....

Stories Found In The News

It continues to amaze me when I see states or small local areas trying to pass laws that restrict Constitutionally guaranteed rights. Illinois seems to rapidly be approaching California like dominance in this area.

The very excellent TriggerFinger blog turned me onto this story.....
