Here is an
interesting story, a couple of years ago Daisy decided to enter the
Slingshot market. Prior to them entering this market, they focused exclusively on air guns. Now that they've had such a bad experience, one has to wonder how much longer they'll keep making Slingshots?

(AXcess News) New York - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says Daisy Manufacturing Co., of Rogers, Ark. has recalled 104,500 slingshots and you'd never guess why.
According to the CPSC, Daisy's slingshots could put your eye out. Just like your mother always warned you about!
Apparently, Daisy Slingshots rubber band could slip out of its frame during use, the ball at the end of the tubing can strike the user, resulting in serious facial injuries.
That's exactly what happened to three children under the age of 16 so far, causing Daisy to voluntarily recall all of its slingshots.
Of those children injured, a 12-year-old boy was blinded in one eye; a 16-year-old boy has decreased vision; and an 11-year old boy has three broken teeth. So though I jokingly outlined the recall, its a serious issue and parents need to make sure their child doesn't have one of these Daisy slingshots in his back pocket.

This article is about why Daisy had to recall over 100,000 slingshots due to manufacturing defects.
