Brass knuckles have been around for decades, and are very controversial items. From the early days of WWI where they were used for Trench Raids, to today where they are used by street gangs these weapons have a very unique and somewhat disturbing history.

What are Brass Knuckles?

Brass knuckles are at their very basic level an easyily concealable weapon that is worn by putting your four fingers into the four "rings" on the knuckles, and then tucking your thumb against your index finger. Brass knuckles are sometimes called knuckle dusters, especially in European countries where they are very popular with street gangs. They are an incredibly simple weapon that when used properly in a fight will give you a clear advantage over your adversary. Simply put, you don't want to be the person getting hit by the pair of brass knuckles.

Review of Imported Chinese Brass Knuckles

I picked up a "Brass Knuckle Belt Buckle" at a flea market, and everyone who sees it always is curious about it. I think most of the fascination stems from the "forbidden" nature of this item. While it certainly could be used as a belt buckle, I don't recall ever seeing anyone do so :-) Then again, I don't think I've ever seen brass knuckles used as a weapon in real life.

There really isn't too much to these brass knuckles. They are so simple, there isn't all that much that can be said. One thing I will note though is that brass knuckles aren't really made of brass, my pair is marked "STAINLESS - CHINA" and appears to be painted with brass colored paint. I will however say that these are heavy duty enough that if I ever did go crazy and hit someone with them, I'm certain they would cause serious harm to the person I hit. So please keep that in mind, these definately aren't toys.
